HaulWise is built to keep your business data private. The short version: HaulWise does not collect anything. This policy covers HaulWise on iPhone, and on Android (coming soon to Google Play).
HaulWise has no account and no login, on either platform. Everything you enter (truck costs, loads, trips, fuel purchases, income, expenses, and tax rates) is stored only on your device. We do not have a server, and your data is never uploaded, transmitted, sold, or shared with us or anyone else.
HaulWise does not use GPS or location services, on iPhone or Android. All miles and fuel are entered manually or from your odometer. The app never tracks where you are or where you drive, and the Android app does not request the location permission at all.
HaulWise contains no third-party analytics, no advertising, and no tracking SDKs, on either platform. On Android, the app does contain Google's Play Billing library, described below under "Google Play Billing on Android": it is not an analytics or advertising SDK, and it never sees your truck costs, loads, trips, or money records.
The Android app requests exactly one permission: internet access, used only so Google Play Billing can talk to Google's own servers to process your Pro purchase. HaulWise itself makes no network call of its own; there is no location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or notification permission anywhere in the app, because none of its features need one.
Google Play requires its billing library for in-app purchases. That library lets Google Play process and restore your HaulWise Pro purchase, and it also sends Google technical diagnostics about those purchase connections, such as whether a request to Google Play succeeded, so Google can keep its billing service working. Google handles this under Google's own privacy policy, and it never includes your truck costs, loads, trips, fuel, or money records.
The one-time HaulWise Pro unlock has no subscription, the same on both platforms. On iPhone, it is processed by Apple through the App Store, verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit; Apple handles the transaction and we never see your payment details. On Android, it is processed by Google Play through your Google Play account, verified on-device through Google Play Billing; Google handles the transaction and we never see your payment details there either.
Because all data lives on your device, you can remove it at any time by deleting the app. You can export your records as CSV or PDF (with HaulWise Pro) to keep your own backups. On Android, if the device's own backup is turned on, your local HaulWise database is included in your Google account backup, encrypted by Google, and restored automatically if you reinstall on that account; uninstalling without a backup deletes it immediately, on either platform.
HaulWise is a calculator and record-keeping tool. IFTA tax rates included in the app are public figures you can edit, and you should verify them against your jurisdiction before filing. HaulWise does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice.
